Appeals of before Supreme Court, Constitutional Court and European Court of Human Rights

  • The lodge of appeals in civil and criminal jurisdictions before the Supreme Court (recursos de casación), before the Constitutional Court (recurso de amparo) and before the European Court of Human Rights, requires a highly specialized technique, as they are all extraordinary resources where it is necessary to comply with specific procedural norms that are strictly controlled by those Courts, whose rates of admission to processing of resources are certainly low.

At Guerrero Abogados we are specialists in the presentation of this type of appeals, having intervened in many cases, for example, in the rulings of the Constitutional Court 178/2011, 179/2011 and 125/2017, in those of the Supreme Court (Sala de lo Civil) Nos. 558/2018, of October 9, or 171/2020, of March 11, and in those of the Criminal Chamber nos. 99/2015, of February 24, or 265/2020, of May 29. In the field of the European Court of Human Rights, our partner Salvador Guerrero Palomares, doctor in procedural law and professor of this subject at the UMA, has attended numerous training courses in Strasbourg on the procedure before the ECHR and is currently Tutor of the program Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) of the Council of Europe, the entity that houses the European Court of Human Rights.
